Things to do Around Crantock

Beaches
You are only a ten minute walk from one of the best beaches in Cornwall (or England!...or Europe!!) Crantock offers a bit of everything for everyone – surf, sunbathing, dune adventures, shallow paddling pools, and riverside ambles. Something for the whole family! Parking is available (National Trust and a private car park) in case you have a lot to carry – but it does get busy, so get there early to avoid a queue. Beyond the Beach
A huge soft play and trampoline centre just by the pool and zoo – another rainy-day option.
A UNESCO world Heritage site. This working harbour situated near St Austell is the site of many films and TV shows, including Poldark, The three Musketeers and Rebecca.
A Cornish Heritage and Culture destination in Pool (near Redruth) offering educational gardens, a café and one of the best adventure playgrounds around!
200 acres of garden history, mystery and romance (as well as great cafes, a farm and a good playground!)
A grand stately house near Bodmin. Great walks and good cycle trails around the estate, which can be accessed without a membership.
An Elizabethan stately home 2 miles from Crantock and well worth a visit.

The South West Coastal Path offers some of the finest and most spectacular walking in the UK. Easily reached from Crantock Beach you have the option of heading north towards Newquay, Porth Island and onto Watergate bay, Mawgan Porth and Padstow. Or go south towards Perranporth passing the beautiful beaches of Polly Joke and Holywell Bay. From Perranporth you can take a bus to return to Newquay.
